My story began as a missionary kid, born and raised in Asuncion, Paraguay. Paraguay was very closed to the Good News of Jesus when my parents first arrived. I was honored to watch my mom and dad share the grace of God to the beautiful people of Paraguay. Missionary Stories from Bill & Fran Skinner

Marriage, Ministry & Family

I met my wonderful husband, Mark, at Samford University in the state of Alabama. We were married in 1978, while already immersed in youth ministry at Kingwood Church, Alabaster, AL. After five years, we moved to Springfield, MO where Mark served as lead pastor at Faith Assembly of God as he worked on his Master’s Degree in Biblical languages. A year and a half later we returned to Kingwood Church where he has served as an associate pastor with an emphasis in discipleship. It has been a blessing to serve along with him on this journey of ministry.

Mark and I have two wonderful daughters and amazing sons-in-law who have blessed us with seven grandchildren that we are so proud of. All love Jesus and we enjoy spending time with them. God has been merciful and gracious to us, and we are so very grateful!

My Passion

Life really began for me at age 12 when I met Jesus. I felt Him instantly forgive me and fill me with His love. The trials I have had to face drove me to pursue Jesus for answers. That pursuit has led me to a deeper connection with God Himself and His heart. My passion is to know God even more intimately by His Spirit, to bring others into His Kingdom and to help them grow in the Lord!

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matthew 28:19-20 NIV
