The Beautiful Dream

Scene One

A Dark Place

I was standing alone in a dark place, looking straight ahead.  There were no stars and no moon.  All I could see were a few wavy strings of white floating vapor against a dark backdrop in the distance.  They formed what looked like a ridge of mountains.  But really, it was only a voidnothing beautiful to look at.  My soul felt numb.

Someone was approaching me from behind on my right side.  I didn’t see him, but I sensed his presence coming toward me.  Strangely, I wasn’t afraid.  As he came closer, I turned my head to the right and looked into his face and then his eyes.  I felt lovingly drawn to him, even though I didn’t know who he was. 

His face was handsome to me—of olive skin tone and clean-shaven.  Though he had chiseled masculine features, his countenance was softly inviting.  He had dark, medium length hair that was straight and layered, and his dark black eyes looked back into mine.

The Invitation

With the kindness of a true gentleman he asked me to dance with him—even though he spoke no words from his mouth.  I quickly agreed, and then suddenly felt uncomfortable with the thought that he might discover my flaws.  As he approached me I thought to myself, “I don’t know how to dance!”  All I knew about dancing was that I should follow his lead. 

Standing behind me, he placed his arms loosely around me with his hands on the front part of my waist.  I placed my hands over his.  He kept his head near my right ear.

Extravagant Love

As soon as he touched me I felt intense love like I’ve never felt in my whole life!  His love permeated my being and all my cares were gone—all of them!  I was instantly in love!  He danced the most simple but beautiful dance with me—deeply romantic but purely innocent.  We took slow steps swaying to the left and to the right.  He even dipped me gently to the left and to the right.  All too soon, the dance was over. 

Then he stood beside me.  Still saying no words, he asked to see me again and I eagerly agreed.  I asked him when I would see Him again.  He said he would return to me, but when he answered, the day and time was unclear.

Scene Two

I saw my husband, Mark, and myself sitting together on sand-toned concrete bleachers, the big squared chunky kind.  It was daytime and there were no other people there.  The scene was zoomed in on the area where we were seated so that I couldn’t see how high or wide the bleachers were. 

I was telling Mark all about the amazing man I had danced with and how much I loved him.  The immense love and joy I felt when I danced with the man was still just as strong!  Mark was so happy for me as I told him with great enthusiasm how the man’s love had completely transformed me.  He wanted to hear all about it!

Scene Three

The man who danced with me was leading me into a room of his house.  He was to my right as we walked, and I was still full of ecstasy!  The opening into this room was wide, slightly arched, with curved edges and no doors. There was a table in the room, so I assumed it was a dining room, however, there was nothing on the table to define its purpose.  There was no decor in the house.  It was clean, white, and bright with possibly a faint sky-blue hue.

Meet the Family

As we walked toward the room, I wanted to ask him when we could be alone again.  I loved him so much!  But I sensed this wasn’t the right time, so with joyful anticipation, I kept silent.  It seemed that he was escorting me into a very important meeting with his family, but I was not anxious about it at all. Love and acceptance were in the atmosphere, and I knew I was right where I was supposed to be.  I felt so special!

As we entered the room, we approached an oblong table.  It had rounded corners and seated eight.  He led me around the left end of the table to the first chair on the other side.  I stood behind my chair like everyone else.  My chair was across the table from him, next to one end of the table. The mother stood at the other end of the table.  I turned my head to the left to look at her because she seemed to be in charge at that moment.  She was rather large and she wore a solid pink dress like the one my mother wore to her grandchildren’s weddings. 

Not Paying Attention

Absent-mindedly, I gazed upward and to my left at the blank white ceiling.  I was still daydreaming about the man I loved—even though he was right there across the table from me.  I was still wondering when I could be alone with him again!  He was so amazing!

All of a sudden I glanced back down and realized that everyone was seated except me!  I felt so embarrassed and ashamed.  I didn’t know what to do.  Right then, the mother stood back up and everyone at the table followed her lead.  They stood as well.  Then I heard the mother kindly say to everyone, “Be seated.”  At that moment, I woke up from the dream.

Awake

On February 21, 2013, I awoke from this dream feeling like a teenager in love.  But then I suddenly became alarmed!  The man I had dreamed about was not my husband!  I danced with the man in the dream, and I was so in love with him!  I began to ask God to forgive me for having the dream.  But right away I remembered scene two, where my husband, Mark, was thrilled about my love-relationship with the man.

Relief

At that moment, I knew this dream was from God and I had danced with Jesus, God’s Son!  I can’t express the overwhelming awe I felt!  Jesus came in such an intimate way to reveal His love for me. That morning, I was flooded with tears of joy and anticipation.  The dream contained secrets for me to discover.  So, I asked the Lord for an interpretation and the dream has been unfolding to me ever since.

The Father

Around two weeks later, I was sitting at our kitchen table having some alone time with God and I asked the Father a question.  “Father, why was I seated to your left?”  I heard Him quickly respond, “Because I want you close to my heart.”  I welled up with tears and was awestruck by His answer!  His love was so strong that I had to stop everything and just let Him love me. 

To this day I picture my Heavenly Father seated to my right assuring me of His love and faithfulness, the Holy Spirit at the other end of the Table assuring me that I am dearly loved and accepted, and Jesus across from me where I can look into His wonderful face!  All my Brothers and Sisters in Christ from all over the world are there too!  Our God is so amazing!  I don’t know how He does it, but I believe each of His children have been offered the same seating arrangement.  Father God loves us so much that He wants us seated very close—next to His heart!

A Short Interpretation

Scene One

Jesus, God’s Son, comes to us and offers to rescue us from the kingdom of darkness as only He can do.  All Jesus asks is a sincere “Yes” to His invitation to becoming one with Him and follow His lead.  The moment He touches us, Jesus supernaturally cleanses us from the guilt of sin (wrongdoing), fear and shame.  To learn about the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross to pay the penalty of your sin, please click on Meet Jesus (located on the home page).

If our heart’s desire is to see Jesus again, He will meet with us spiritually through God’s Holy Spirit. Jesus will also come again one day to take us Home to Heaven!

Scene Two

Fill Up Your Bleachers

I was seated on earth with my husband telling him about Jesus.  Telling someone about your encounter with Jesus, the Savior, is an obvious response. Eternal life was infused into your being through the Holy Spirit who came to live inside you! God’s life inside us is like a seed in our heart. Sharing Jesus is the first fruit of our spiritual tree!  We have the rest of our livse to tell others about Jesus. As the Holy Spirit leads us, we can “fill up our bleachers” with new believers in Christ!

The Foundation of your Marriage

The main focus in marriage must first be on our respective love relationships with Jesus. That is the only way to have a healthy and joyful marriage. If a couple is not walking by the Spirit there will be conflict and strife. But by living humbly before God, seated at His Table in the heavenly realms there will be unity. The basis for this unity is God’s supernatural “Agape Love!”

Build Only on the Foundation– Jesus Christ

My husband and I were sitting on the lowest step of the bleachers. As Christians, we begin our relationship on the Foundation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. But God wants us to “go higher up the steps of faith and love in Christ Jesus.”

The Body of Christ

As children of God we are seated together in unity if we follow the Spirit. We have been brought out of the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of Light, from death to life, from sin to the righteousness of Jesus Christ and from fear and shame into the love of our Heavenly Father.

Scene Three

 As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. But because of his great love for us,God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.  For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—  not by works, so that no one can boast.  For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:4-10 NIV

The Spiritual Realm

You are a spiritual being with a soul and a body. When follow Jesus, He takes you to be seated next to your Father in the heavenly realms of the Spirit.  Isn’t that amazing!? Our eternity has begun in the Spirit realm as we live on earth– as long as we continue to follow Jesus.  We were born again by the Spirit to have an actual intimate loving relationship with God. As Christians, we can have two-way conversations with God continually because His Spirit lives in us.

Many believers pay a lot of attention to living in the earthly realm. But few pay attention to living in the realm of God’s Spirit– the heavenly realms. Paying attention to our spiritual relationship with God is the only way to grow in relationship with Him.

The Earthly Realm

When a believer only lives from the earthly realm, their spiritual “tree” will begin to wither.  They have not understood who they are in Christ.  Fear and shame are the atmosphere of the earthly realm. But in the heavenly realms the atmosphere is extravagant love— the grace of God!

Christians who don’t realize that Jesus has taken them to the heavenly realms are easily affected by earthly circumstances.  They can be pulled downward by trusting in the devil’s lies.  What other people think is more important to them than what God thinks.  They have exchanged the truth that sets them free for lies that bind them up.  Fear and shame creep back in—the very things Jesus freed us from!  They have not been paying attention to the Holy Spirit by being seated with Him. 

Heaven on Earth

We must stay connected to the power-source of life and love itself by being seated with God in the Spirit. How do we pay attention to the Holy Spirit? Certainly not by following religious rules. But there are ways we can develop a love-rich relationship with God. He wants to pour out His grace-filled favor on those who seek Him with all of their hearts.

  • Praying privately and with other Christians– because we want to know God
  • Reading the Bible– because the Spirit speaks through God’s Word
  • Obeying God– because we love Him and trust that His Word is Truth. Obedience is the result of a faith-filled love-relationship with God.
  • Meeting with Spirit-led believers– to fellowship in the Spirit
  • Worshiping God privately and with followers of Jesus– to encounter God as a child of God and as God’s Family
  • Following the Spirit’s lead– to produce good spiritual fruit, grow in His spiritual gifts and walk in the calling He has given us

God’s power is able to deliver us from darkness and set us apart from the world. In that spiritual place we can receive the bountiful gifts of grace Jesus has provided for us through His death and resurrection.  The earth is not Heaven.  But through the Spirit, Heaven has come to us even in this dark and chaotic world!  By paying attention to the voice of the Holy Spirit we can follow Jesus and stay close to God.

Since The Beautiful Dream God gave me in 2013 I have noticed so many songs that speak to the heart of this dream. One of my favorites right now is “All I Want is Jesus”, sung by Megan Tibbits:

Finding God’s Purpose

Jesus is the Door to eternal life! There is no other Name that can save us! When Jesus escorts us into God’s presence, He restores our purpose.  We have been asked to be seated above the chaos where God can speak to us, deliver us, heal us and empower us to fulfill our destiny. But it must be by His direction and power, not our own.  We have to want to be close to Jesus so much that we will do whatever He says– no matter the cost!  God must be given complete control of our lives.

For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me. Jeremiah 29:11-13 NLT

Sit With God

Our Debt is Paid-In-Full!

The Lord was telling me in this dream that I needed to let God free me from the fear and shame of what others might think of me. Many Christians today tolerate evil spirits of intimidation, condemnation and accusation. But Jesus paid the price for us to be free from the power of the enemy. But the Accuser (Satan) is trying to convince us that we still live by “the law.”

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. Romans 8:1-2 NKJV

The devil wants us to believe we will be punished and that we are not protected by God. That is one reason why there is so much fear and anxiety in the Body of Christ. Many Christians have fallen for lies like, “I’m inferior to others,” or “I am a failure and I’ll never measure up.” But our relationship with God has been reconciled through Jesus!

We are seated next to our Father who loved us so much that He sent Jesus, His perfect Son, to die for our redemption. God sees us as perfect! Our court sentence has been paid-in-full through Jesus!

We Sit in the Atmosphere of God’s Perfect Love

The perfect love of God drives out all fear. But in order to live free of fear and shame we must develop a real relationship with God through the Holy Spirit. He wants us to literally sit with Him and listen by the Spirit, converse with Him and allow Him to deliver and heal us. He loves us so much!

God was gracious to me and allowed me to experience what God’s love feels like in this beautiful dream. God’s love is indescribable!!! The simplest way I can describe His love is that it feels like what we imagine Heaven to be like! God’s love is free of sin, shame, fear, sickness, demonization, darkness, pain, anxiety, stress, inferiority, confusion, terror and every evil thing! His love is His Presence, and He fills us with supernatural love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control, a sound mind and every good thing. God wants us to exchange the effects of the kingdom of darkness with His extravagant love. We do that in counseling sessions with the Holy Spirit– alone with God. And sometimes He frees us when we meet with the Body of Christ and seek His presence.

Two Kingdoms

We no longer live in the kingdom of darkness but the Kingdom of God. There is a spiritual war taking place and every person on earth is participating whether they realize it or not. As followers of Jesus Christ, God has given us spiritual armor and authority over all the power of the enemy (demons). By remaining seated humbly with God in His Truth and Love, we are able to live victoriously and fulfill our purpose in Christ even as this world seems to be falling apart.

If I can convince you of anything it would be to pursue Jesus Christ with all your heart, soul, mind and strength and to love others as He has loved you. God’s perfect Agape Love is beyond description!

And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3b:17-19  NIV

The Heavenly Realms

I pray that you will step into a new realm with God—the realm of His supernatural, powerful and transformational Love.  May you be overwhelmed by the goodness of our God, the extravagant Love He has for you and the fellowship we have with Him and one another, seated together at His Table in the heavenly realms!

You have been given a place of honor at God’s Table—next to the Father’s heart, across from Jesus, and lead by the beautiful and powerful Holy Spirit.  We are living in the end times. More than ever before, Holy Spirit is now saying to the Bride of Christ, “Be Seated.”
