God Does Not Change

Reading Time: 5 Minutes

This world is eerily changing like shadows that shift in the dark. But God does not change! He has always been and will always be loving, holy, righteous, forgiving and true. God is faithful!

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever. Psalm 136:1. NLT

Our Father Does Not Change

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. James 1:17 NIV

It is a wonderful thing to know that we live from a different realm– the realm of God’s Spirit. God is light and has invited us into His light which is filled with His supernatural truth and love. There are no shifty shadows seated at His Table– no fear and no shame. We are safe in our Father’s care no matter what happens around us here on this earth. Our past is forgiven and we have been given a brand new life through Jesus Christ. He has brought us to our Father in the Spirit.

Our Father is faithful to provide us with good and perfect gifts to fulfill our purpose here on the earth. Right now He is preparing a place for us in our permanent home, Heaven. One day we will finally see God clearly and live in His pure presence. For now we see dimly and experience Him with much opposition from the devil’s kingdom. But we don’t give in to the shifty patterns of this world. We keep our faith in our merciful, forgiving, kind and good Father knowing that He will not change! He is a stable and faithful Father!

Jesus Remains the Same

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Hebrews 13:8. NKJV

The sacrifice of Jesus to forgive our sins is an immovable foundation our faith can rest on. There is no other way for people to be saved and that will not change! Those who remain in Jesus Christ can be assured that He will give them life through the Holy Spirit. That life begins now and will continue throughout eternity in Heaven. Jesus loves you the same today as the day you met Him and that will never change!

God is Still Judge

The Lord Almighty says, “I will appear among you to judge, and I will testify at once against those who practice magic, against adulterers, against those who give false testimony, those who cheat employees out of their wages, and those who take advantage of widows, orphans, and foreigners—against all who do not respect me. I am the Lord, and I do not change. And so you, the descendants of Jacob, are not yet completely lost. You, like your ancestors before you, have turned away from my laws and have not kept them. Turn back to me, and I will turn to you.” Malachi 3:5-7a GNT

God has always been Judge and will be the final Judge. Those who say yes to Jesus believe in His amazing grace. They have experienced His forgiveness and want to follow the Holy Spirit closely. Though they may fail at times, God is always merciful to those who eagerly repent and turn back to Him. No one can earn their salvation through works. But those who have met Jesus by His Spirit desire to follow Him closely. There is no fear of judgment for those have been justified by His blood!

Christians are now being persecuted for living what they believe even when it is expressed in love toward others. There is great comfort in knowing that one day the Judge will make all things right. Every assault, rape, murder, ruthless oppression and manipulation without repentance will be judged fairly and for eternity. But how amazing to know that every sinner can come to the Judge through Jesus Christ and find forgiveness for anything they have ever done! Our Judge is faithful to keep His Word!

God’s Mercy Lasts Forever

The Lord’s loyal kindness never ceases; his compassions never end. They are fresh every morning; your faithfulness is abundant! “My portion is the Lord,” I have said to myself, “so I will put my hope in him. The Lord is good to those who trust in him, to the one who seeks him. It is good to wait patiently for deliverance from the Lord. It is good for a man to bear the yoke while he is young. Let a person sit alone in silence, when the Lord is disciplining him.” Lamentations 3:22-28 NET

God’s love never ends! He is faithful even to discipline those who seek Him because He wants us far from danger. The Lord is close to anyone who comes to Him acknowledging His Word is truth. He is a merciful God and that will not change!

God’s Word Will Never Change

The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever. Isaiah 40:8 AMP

We are born again to live by the Spirit and that’s because the Spirit gives life– eternal life! The words God has spoken to us in His Word are full of the Spirit and life. When we read the Word of God (the Bible) while we are talking to God by His Spirit it comes alive in us and does amazing things we cannot do for ourselves. God’s Word is alive and it will never change because God never changes!

God’s Kingdom Is Eternal

For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 NIV

This world is rocking and reeling, blaming and shaming because it is influenced by the ruler of the kingdom of the air. We however belong to the Kingdom of God that is stable and will last forever. Our King rules from His throne and that is where we receive our orders from. It is also where the incomparable riches of grace are poured out. The God who loves us beyond words has invited us to be seated with Him and participate in His unshakable Kingdom! God is love and that will never change!

Long ago you laid the foundation of the earth and made the heavens with your hands. They will perish, but you remain forever; they will wear out like old clothing. You will change them like a garment and discard them. But you are always the same; you will live forever. The children of your people will live in security. Their children’s children will thrive in your presence. Psalm 102:25-28. NLT
